D & S Campground and Guide Service is a family owned business in Akaska, South Dakota started by Larry and Jean Gillies in 1996. We offer camping, lodging and guiding services. The campground has 25 full service camp sites with water, sewer, and electricity and 5 additional campsites with just electricity for a total of 30 campsites. A 12x60 trailer is also available for guiding guests. In 1998 we built a 30 X 48 building. The building has a private meeting room for fishing tournaments and hunting groups. The building also has a contract Post Office and bathrooms.

The campground is surrounded with excellent wildlife hunting opportunities such as prairie dog, buffalo, deer, and grouse. We specialize in walleye fishing and pheasant hunting. Combination hunting and fishing adventures make this a popular tourist attraction.

D & S Campground has gone the extra mile to combine a camping, hunting, and fishing experience for your business or social gathering. To meet those needs we have 15 full hookups, lodging, a meeting room, guides, plus clean and convenient bathrooms

D & S can also provide you with those extra tables and chairs, access to gas grills and a refrigerator. There is even a fish scale and a contest board for the competitor within you.
